In these minutes I have dinner with @billingtonart, who travelled to Germany to visit his paintings in the exhibition in Heimbach (and me, I hope). It’s wonderful to have him here and to talk about arts and life and painting and everything. Today I visited friends who were on a holiday trip to Rome. But because of storms their flight was cancelled and they had to return from the airport. I wanted to soothe them, but there was no need: they definitely preferred it to a crash over the Alps. Often in my life I made the experience that it isn’t always time to fight. It isn’t always time to party. And it isn’t always time to sqeal. But there should be always enough time to set your soul on a journey through the depths of your soul and get it back fresh and clean. Daily Painting about melancholy 2 July 2010, 7:57 pm About the infinite self-healing power of melancholy, acrylic and ink with plaster and inkpen, 32 x 24 cm
Today I was invited for lunch and after drinks were ordered, the children started to order little drawings on the serviettes: a horse, a goat, my mother… I did it all, but now I have so many pictures in my mind that I better pack them into a Daily Painting and pass them on! 25 April 2010, 7:41 pm Sorry, this entry is only available in German.
Just coming back from visiting my uncle Pascal, the youngest son of Anton, who is a year younger than me. This was a wonderful day in my studio. Since a few weeks I work on a project about the german painter Schirmer and today I finished two more paintings. Now I’m peaceful and exhausted. Today I received the dates for my classes at the academy. Lots of work waiting for me, but good work. I’m glad and adjusted the timetable of the last class I had so you get an idea what an art academy in a National Park looks like.
