At the moment my life is too exciting for me. I have difficulties finding my sleep. I lie in the night, blinded by the happenings of the day, eyes wide open and try not to forget something. But the good thing is: I’m too tired to freak out during the days. The whole world knows how Charles Taylor terrorised Liberia. But now, in court, they have to proof his deeds. It’s ridicule, 1000s of dead, but 3 little diamonds and 2 beautiful women mark the path to Crime and Punishment. Today was International Day of the cat. Somehow my animals heared about that and were totally obnoxious. They stepped with dirty feet on my fresh watercolours, vomited stinky batches of something on the feet of our guests and terrorised the dogs. Who invented this day?!? Good news from Spain: for the first time a province decides to ban bullfights. I’m very happy about this decision from Catalonia, I detest torture animals for the fun of the masses. This is not a national culture, it’s senseless cruelty. Daily Painting about sacred cows 29 July 2010, 7:44 pm The sacred cow, ink on watercolour, 17 x 24 cm
My condolence to the parents and friends of the victims of the deadly panic at the loveparade. My best wishes to the injured people. Unbelievable. Horrible. And astonishing how quick the press turned their headlines from „praise the party“ to „hang the guilty“! They initiated the hype too! And now they make money showing pictures of the dead.
